Greetings Hairballers,
So much has happened--how to chose?
Here’s a name you haven’t heard for a while—Imelda Marcos.
Yes, the wife of Ferdinand Marcos, who was ousted as
dictator of the Philippines 27 years ago. I know, some of you haven’t been
alive that long.
Too prove how shallow I am, all I remember is that she had a
closet about the size of my apartment full of shoes.
Now she’s hitting the campaign trail running for re-election
to the Philippine Senate.
According to reports, and there were pictures, she appeared
in a party gown emblazoned with diamonds and pearls, accompanied by body guards
and nurses to check her blood sugar levels, the nurses not the body guards.
Ah yes, a woman of the people.
My question is. What
happened to the shoes?
We could use more comic relief in our elections. Wait, South Carolina elected the love-guv to
the House of Representatives. That should
put us in the running.
Hairballs,
f
