Lately all I have are questions. Here's something to consider.

What if it’s all practice,
the bombings and crowd control,
the tear gas and armored vehicles?
What if there’s a reason
the artillery was put in place
with the police and schools?
What if it’s preparedness
for something to come,
darker and beyond imagining?
What if “they” are
laughing at us--
the righties and
lefties--
arguing religion and
social issues?
What if it’s just
distraction
to keep us focused on
minutia
rather than the big
question?
What if there’s a
reason
Congress does nothing
and
is gone most of the
time?
When did it start?
Where did it begin?
Who are “they?”
Should we all be
wearing foil caps,
shiny side up?
