This month the award is close to home.
The DBA GOES TO: My
friend, Barbara Anderson for the great spider/mint caper.
A giant spider (I suspect the size of a quarter) dodged her
broom wielding efforts and crawled under the stretchers of a painting. (I know
it’s a good painting, because it’s one of mine.)
Now, Barbara had read somewhere that peppermint repels
spiders and went into action. She pulled
on a pair of oven mitts before removing the painting from the wall and placed
it upside down on the floor. She then put
peppermint candies around the edges of the stretchers, thus trapping the spider.
I have a vision of the spider inside the art, on its
smartphone, ordering a Hazmat suit from Amazon.
Will Barbara open the door when UPS arrives with the package?
